September Red Tent
Fall Equinox and the Gift of Aging
September 23, 7:00-9:30
During the autumn equinox, we witness the transition from the verdant grandeur of summer to autumn’s explosion of colors and abundant harvest, signifying the last hurrah before everything fades away into the stillness of winter. It is a somewhat poignant time of year, reminding us that life is a constant turning, a revolving cycle of passages. If we are wise, we understand that embracing this flow, rather than resisting it, serves us best. Sometimes that may be challenging.
This time of year reminds us of our own life’s cycles and the “sunset” years of our lives. Autumn is the perfect time to celebrate this transition. Whether you’re already there or in the spring of your life, it behooves us to celebrate cronehood. As we all know, older women in our culture have not been fully valued. It is a gift to live a full and long life. There are many benefits of being an elder. Let’s honor this stage of our lives to elevate its importance and influence society.
We will be celebrating both the Autumn Equinox and cronehood at our September Red Tent. Come join us!
